This nut is designed to solve one of the most boring and frustrating parts of setting up, installing, and removing the Dillon Powder Measure — the butterfly nut with the sharp metal insert used to adjust the Dillon Powder Measure Failsafe Rod.

We designed our own Speed Nut, which can be removed with just a press of a button. Pressing the button releases the thread, allowing the nut to be taken off or installed again in seconds. Once the button is released, the nut grips the threads on the rod securely, enabling precise fine adjustments so you can set it exactly where you want it.

A super simple yet highly satisfying upgrade that makes powder measure adjustments on your Dillon press practically hassle-free. Pus a button and the nut releases, when satisfied you can also lock the nut in place by tightening the button.

Hassle-free: tired of always screwing the butterfly nut on and off the Dillon failsafe rod? Our Speed Nut will take care of this, allowing you for super simple and fast setup and adjustment with the push of a button. Literally.

Lock-in-place Feature: the Speed Nut features a built-in locking mechanism: tightening the black knob locks it in place, preventing it from loosening during press cycling.

Installation:

  • Step 1: loosen the knob by a few turns to allow the spring-loaded insert to move through its full range.
  • Step 2: push the knob inward, then install the nut onto the threaded rod.
  • Step 3: cycle the press and adjust the nut to the desired position and tension.
  • Step 4: tighten the black knob clockwise to lock it in place and prevent unwanted movement.
