Tactical knife Misericordia, black - Extrema Ratio
The Extrema Ratio Misericordia has been adopted by the 4th Alpine Parachute Regiment, which helped develop and test the product. It is a tactical fixed blade knife, extremely light and compact, which can be used either as a primary knife or as a backup blade.
The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel, heat treated to a hardness of 58 HRc, is 118 mm long, 4 mm thick, and has a flat edge.
The profile is spear point, with a full-length fuller that makes the blade even lighter and a false edge at ¾ length. The blade is available with the classic Extrema Ratio MIL-C-13924 black finish.
The fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle features the classic Extrema Ratio recesses that make the grip more secure and is attached to the tang with a through screw.
At the rear end, the handle flows into a large ring, which allows the use of martial arts techniques and ensures a very solid grip, equipped with a hard metal “skull crusher” appendix.
The total weight of the knife is just 87g.
As this is a knife designed for professional use, a lot of attention has been paid to ease of carrying, accessibility, and extraction when needed. The knife is secured to the sheath by a quick-release safety catch that can be easily reversed for use by left-handed people.
The sheath is made of high-strength nylon, is very versatile, and two adjustable loops allow it to be attached inside the loops of M.O.L.L.E. systems.
The sheath has a conical opening to facilitate reinsertion of the knife, while a simple press on the trigger safety allows it to be extracted quickly and instinctively.
